NA 2008 success demonstrates importance of material handling & logistics solutions

527 exhibits covered 160,000 Square Feet at NA 2008

(Charlotte, NC | May 20, 2008)  When NA 2008 ended on April 24, nearly 20,000 industry professionals went back to their companies armed with material handling & logistics solutions for their supply chain operations.

This year's event featured a record 527 exhibits covering 160,000 square feet at Cleveland's I-X Center-this represents exhibit growth of over 10 percent.  NA 2008 attendees saw everything from basic equipment to automated handling systems to software, control, IT and sustainability solutions in an impressive display of exhibits.

During the four-day run of the event, Cleveland and the material handling and logistics industry demonstrated an inherent ability to attract a crowd.  Attendees from over 60 countries and as far away as Australia, China, Japan, and Africa had the opportunity to talk with exhibitors and attend a wide range of show floor educational sessions. The show featured a Keynote by leading environmental authority and author Andrew Winston on the business case for green manufacturing and supply chain operations.

NA 2008 was the latest in a long line of successful trade show events sponsored by Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) over the past four decades.  Since it debuted in 1992, the event has drawn large crowds of high quality attendees with money to spend on material handling & logistics solutions. NA 2008 event was the largest showcase of material handling & logistics equipment, systems and technologies in the United States this year. The show was designed to offer productivity solutions and information by showcasing the products and services of 527 material handling and logistics providers. The show featured productivity solutions in the areas of manufacturing, information technology, warehousing and distribution in four solution-specific centers. This format allowed attendees to make the most of their time at the show by quickly finding the solutions they needed.
